Just one week until the event! Get ready for a dazzling Christmas event. Please check out our flyer for details.
Dinner for Diapers
Join us for our 2nd annual Dinner for Diapers. The event will be hosted at the Governor’s Mansion in Kingston, GA on December 20th from 6-8pm
. The owner and staff of the Governor’s Mansion will be providing a buffet dinner at the mansion, which will be beautifully decorated for the Christmas season.
All that is required for attendance is that you bring a donation of baby items as your ticket in the door. Special needs of the Women’s Resource Center are as follows: diapers size 4, 5, & 6, wipes, baby shampoo, bottles, and gift cards to purchase items as they are needed. Please join us for another year of fun, food, and fellowship in honor of Bartow’s most precious citizens–babies!
Banquet for Bartow Babies Success Story
The night of the banquet was enjoyed by all who attended and served. From yummy food to laughter and giving, the night was filled with fun
. We enjoyed the food catered by Scott’s Walk-Up Bar-B-Q and desserts provided by Becky Banks. Then Cindy Smith, our executive director, informed the crowd of the purpose of the WRC. Mike Williams held the audience captive as he told us all about himself through comedy and song. At the end of the night, when all the donations had been made, we had raised $23,500 to support life in Bartow County, specifically at the WRC! Thanks to all who donated, served, and laughed with us. Your presence made a difference.

Baby Buck Program Kick-Off August 1st
We are excited to launch our new Baby Buck Program on August 1st. From now on, clients will be able to earn baby items, such as diapers, in our new Baby Store by attending mentoring classes, keeping well-baby check-up appointments, going to school, and more! Our desire at the WRC is to see lives changed and won for Christ. We want babies to be saved and mothers lives to be redirected in a positive way. This program is targeted to do just that. Please support us in prayer and donations as we take this step toward a new and improved WRC!
First Baptist of Cartersville Makes Huge Donation
Out of the blue, a pick-up truck loaded down with baby and ladies items showed up at the WRC. As it turned out, First Baptist had been collecting items from all over the country for tornado victims in our area. Since the tornado victims have been blessed so much and are out of room for donations, First Baptist turned to the WRC!
Unexpectedly, we were showered with much needed baby items for our clients and food that we were able to donate to the Bread of Life food pantry. The very next day, a client walked in with a need we would not have met unless that pick-up truck had rolled in the day before. It is amazing to see how the Lord uses the Body of Christ to meet needs that we are not even aware of at the time.
Thank you Jonathan Brantley and the congregation of First Baptist for donating baby and ladies items to the WRC and changing lives in the process!
John Piper Speaks Out Against Abortion
Proverbs 24: 10-12 tells us that we are responsible as the body of Christ to rescue those who are being taken away to death. In this generation, in this nation, in this town babies are being led to slaughter. May we speak out and not say, “we didn’t know about it.” May our strength be great in the face of adversity.
